Bernard Khoury at the V&A: Army of me

This proposal was for the V&A Cast Court. Its inhabitant would be connected to a number of visitors wandering around the Museum, using wireless cameras and microphones. In the same way as the plaster casts allow us to replicate and transport a 'built moment' through time and space, this project allows us to reproduce parallel visitor experiences.

Are you inspired more by your immediate environment, or by ideas of what architecture should be?
The context is, and has always been, the point of departure for every project.
How do you design? How do you move your designs from your imagination into the real world?
I have no recurrent recipes. I believe in strategies that are developed around specific situations...
How do retreats and refuges help us?
I don't know what you mean by retreat or refuge.
